I’m excited to finally tick Dubai Frame off my bucket list, as it has been sitting comfortably on the list for more than a year. Before I decided to go to this enormous Frame, my options were Al Quadra Lake, La Mer Beach and Dubai Frame. I had 1000 reasons why Dubai Frame was the perfect destination.

Dubai Frame is one of the most famous tourist spots for several reasons, especially its unique structure. This 50-storey structure, constructed from glass, steel and aluminium, is located where prominent parts of Dubai can be viewed from each side of the bridge.

I wrote this guide to make your experience at the Dubai frame pleasure. With this, you can know what to expect when you visit the Frame, don’t worry, I won’t spoil the fun!

My experience at the Dubai Frame.

  1. Today’s outing was special because my brother came along with us. We mistakenly went to Gate 3 which is the entrance to Zabeel Park. Sadly we had to walk all the way to Gate 4, which was quite a distance.

2. The entry ticket costs 52.5 dirhams per adult while children between 3-12 pay 20 dirhams. Below three years and above 60 get a free entry fee.

3. I will not forget the background music at the Frame anytime soon because it was loud and made me move my body to the beat.

4. Once we were in the building, the security man told us (everyone else) to take a picture before joining the queue. Today is Friday, so it was pretty crowded.

5. Our journey began by heading up the escalator to the ground level, which hosts a museum with immersive 3D exhibits recounting Dubai’s transition from a fishing village to a global tourist destination.

6. The next point of interest was the view deck, 150m high, 50 storeys tall. The view was insane and intriguing! I was sceptical about taking my first step on the glass floor, but it won’t be fun to miss an incredible 360-degree view of the city. Here, I had an uninterrupted view of ‘old’ Dubai to the North (low-rises of Dubai Creek & Deira) and ‘new’ Dubai to the south (glamorous skyscrapers of Downtown Dubai.)

7. One of the things I looked forward to was writing on the inverted pyramid projector screen. If you are unapologetically romantic, here’s your opportunity to show everyone on this floor how much you love your significant other.

8. Later on, we went down to the first floor to have a glimpse of the future of Dubai.

9. This area ushered us into the gift centre where you can purchase souvenirs and retrieve your pictures at the cost of 100 or 150 dirhams.
