How are you doing (In Wendy Williams voice)? As for me, I’m doing well, thanks for asking 🙂 but that wasn’t the case a few days ago. I felt like the world was on my shoulder, okay that’s an exaggeration, but I’m sure you’d be able to relate if you are career-driven.

I was working on this website a while ago when I decided to visit my former blog. After going through some of the posts from 2016, I realized how much I had worked on that blog, and right now, I’m no way close to the effort I put into building that blog. I felt all manner of emotions, from sadness and guilt (the mom’s guilt of leaving her child to focus on her career) to anxiety and fear of starting a new journey.

Career advice for freelancers

I decided to open up about these feelings in a simple conversation with my friend. She didn’t know what I was going through at that time, but she gave me some candid advice. I needed that reality check and a reminder to make me more comfortable with my progress and trust that everything will be okay.

It will be selfish of me to keep the career advice to myself because I know there’s definitely someone who might need a little push, advice or inspiration to feel better about where they are in their academics, career, personal lives and so on. The words of wisdom she shared with me are:

1. To achieve the outcome you desire, you must put in the required effort.

2. Growth comes with time.

3. Trust and believe in God.

4. Keep striving for greatness; you will be surprised at your achievement in the next two years.

5. People are noticing your business, efforts, creativity whether they tell or not.

6. Babies don’t start walking the day they are born; they go through phases to get there. Keep feeding your business.

If you are going through a difficult phase, I want you to know that you’re not alone; it’s natural to feel vulnerable sometimes but being resilient and determined to overcome that phase will make you stronger.

In summary, never understand estimate how a simple conversation can inspire you. If you feel stressed about your situation, I advise that you talk about it with someone you can trust. I hope I have encouraged someone today.

Much love,

Grace.

  2. This design is incredible! You certainly know how to keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Excellent job. I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!

  3. magnificent points altogether, you just received a brand new reader. What might you recommend about your put up that you just made a few days in the past? Any sure?
