side swept braids

Hey ladies, did you check out the post on side-swept cornrows? I wrote I would blog about more ways to style that cornrow braids.

I once wore my hairstyle in a halo style; I liked how it made me look different and would make for a perfect blog post. A few days later, before taking out the side swept braids, I reduced the length to my shoulders and used some little hair bands to seal the ends.

One of the ways I make my hair look different for occasions is by switching up the styles. It’s so funny how much I love my hair.

Let me throw in a true story about my hair.

There was a period I was involved in some church activities. Unknown to me, I used to sweep my hair backwards whenever I was on the stage. So one day, a sweet lady walked up to me and said you did great, but you shouldn’t touch your hair next time (you know that ‘I don’t care’ move ladies make by sweeping their hair to the back). My goodness!! Although I felt embarrassed, she told me that it is normal to have a habit and gave me a gorgeous smile.

Okay, that story was unrelated; however, you should know I throw in little stories once in a while 🙂

So, back to the main post. As soon as I finished writing this post, I realized there was one more thing I would have done to these cornrows; I should have curled the ends. I wish I remembered to do it. For now, enjoy what I did. Have a lovely week ahead.
