Gone are the days when I thought faking it till I made it was the right approach to happiness. Although it was helpful in certain situations, I won’t advise anyone to do so. Through many wild encounters, I believe the most appropriate way to genuine happiness is authenticity in every aspect of your life.
Finding genuine happiness is a process that results in healing, forgiving, and setting one’s self free. Finding true happiness after a traumatic experience isn’t always easy initially, but the first step is to accept that you need it. Not only does a happy mind improve our mental health, but it also fosters a good relationship with others; I mean, who doesn’t want to have that cheerful person on their team?
There are several ways to pursue genuine happiness, and the purpose of this post is to provide simple, practical steps to find true happiness.
1. Guard your heart against negative people and naysayers.
2.Seek professional help. Finding happiness again with the help of a professional makes you accountable to yourself and the choices you make during or after counselling sessions.
3.Don’t make anyone your source of happiness. (If at all you need to, choose the ‘right’ people).
4.Your circle of friends should have a positive impact on you.
5.Meditate on the word of God.
6.Celebrate the little wins.
7.Address the past and move on.
8.Remember what made you happy in the past and do it.
9.Be kind.
10.Mind your business.
In conclusion, we can’t fully control what happens to us, but we can control how we react to situations. Several finding happiness again quotes can get you right where you need to be. I hope this hard talk motivates you to shake off whatever weighs you down. Happiness is a choice, and we can choose it at all times.
