stay and play

I will begin this post with, “in summary, this is a little kingdom for kids!” If you don’t know about the Stay and Play soft play area at Dubai Festival City Mall, you and your children are missing out on a lot.

I found out about Stay and Play about two months ago when I checked out various things to do in Festival City Mall.

What caught my attention about this soft play area is that they accept children as young as a year old, as long as they can walk, and there are professional nannies you can leave your kids with while you do whatever you want to do in the mall, isn’t that a relieve?

As a work-from-home mom whose main job is content creation, I am sometimes at the mall trying to create content or finish up an article. One of the most frustrating things is being distracted while I work, and of course, I understand “mommy can’t be having all the fun working while I, a two-year-old, watch from a little corner”. So this has become the perfect place for my son and me to have a win-win situation in the mall.

Although there are staff to care for your little ones at Stay and Play, I don’t leave my son alone whenever he is there.

As a parent, my advice will be to leave your kid with their nanny still when you take them because they will meet different children with various characters.

Reasons I prefer Stay and Play to other hubs of fun.

  1. My son is free to play with any toy without paying additional fees and engage in cognitive activities with other children while under the supervision of professional staff.
  2. The place is always tidy for kids to run around without stumbling on toys.
  3. There are a lot of activities for kids.
  4. Stay and Play is moderately bright and colourful.
  5. There are designated spots to feed your kids.
  6. You pay per hour and have access to various activities.
  7. They have a funny way of announcing that your time is up.
  8. The staff are friendly.
  9. Lastly, this has become my son’s favourite place; it was difficult to get him to stay let alone play in a soft play area.
  10. It is located on the first floor of Dubai festival mall, Opposite the Peppermill Restaurant.
  11. Fees: The first hour is 70 dirhams, and subsequent hours will attract a fee of 30 dirhams.

Don’t forget to take some socks for your children and whoever will be in the soft play area with them.
