When I started blogging in 2014, I actively shared the links with my Facebook friends and spent a lot on paid ads. As time went by, I learnt how to increase my blog views organically by taking advantage of social media. According to one of the useful tips I got from the Digital Branding and Engagement Course I completed recently, the power to increase your client base and business visibility is in the hands of your brand strategy. Additionally, I will suggest that every small business should take advantage of owned (your business platforms) and earned (your audience) media to grow organically by:

1. Being active on social media and building an online community. You can improve your social media skill by auditing online courses on EDX, Udemy and so on.

2. Updating your websites with relevant and interesting information that focuses on your business.

3. Connecting and collaborating with other brands online (in a healthy way, of course).

4. Hosting virtual events. Get people involved in what’s new in your business.

5. Asking your dedicated customers to share their experiences with their connections and followers.

In summary, the purpose of this post isn’t to trivialize the importance of paid adverts but to enlighten you on how to grow your business organically for free. According to the Corporate Finance Institute, “Organic growth is typically marked by increased output, greater efficiency and speed with production, higher revenue, and improved cash flow. Moreover, it is critical for the success of a company.” Therefore, I believe this post will be most useful for small and medium scale businesses.
