A few days ago, I read Ephesians chapter 4 (again), and I thought of sharing what I learned from the chapter. I love this chapter because it teaches how our life in Christ should be and what to work on. For instance, love should be a part of our DNA. We should show love to everyone, not just those who love us.
Another major point in the chapter is forgiveness. If God can forgive us our trespasses, why can’t we forgive those who hurt us? It may not be easy, but with God, all things are possible.
The chapter also addresses anger; I love how it explains that we shouldn’t act when angry. Anger is a natural reaction to something that upsets us, but we can ask God for divine grace to control ourselves when angry.
Other great points in the chapter include:
– Be kind… always.
– Don’t grieve the Holyspirit; this is deep.
– Be hardworking, as should be.
– Speak the truth at all times; no white lies.
– Our thoughts and our heart’s desires should please God; our gaze should always be on God.
– Practice humility, gentleness, peace and patience; practice and time will make it a habit.
In conclusion, this chapter gives a broader view of the fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5.
