festival city mall

Hey guys, by now, you might be wondering why I am constantly posting a thing or two about the fabulous Festival City Mall. I am here to walk you through some of the awesome things you should do when visiting the Mall.

I prefer going to this mall for various reasons, such as taking my son to the soft play area, buying my sumptuous bread at Texas Roadhouse Restaurant, visiting IKEA, and so much more.

So if you happen to be in the Dubai Festival City Mall, I bet you won’t want to miss these things:

  • Robo cafe. Unlike any cafe I have seen, this cafe takes you to the future where everything is done by mini bots. How cool is that?  Located on the ground floor level.
  • Ripe by the bay. This is an outdoor bazaar where you can shop, dine, and cool off by the bay area. It is a family-friendly location so don’t forget to bring your kids here to ride on the fun cart and many other things. The entry fee is free but other activities cost some Dirhams.
  • The Imagine show. The spectacular light show displays every hour with a loud sound in the bay area. It is free to watch. Located at ripe by the bay.

  • Graffiti wall. This positive graffiti will ignite the fire in you to believe in yourself. Don’t forget to take IG-worthy photos, wink. Located on the first floor.
  • FabyLand. This is the perfect place for adults to get an adrenaline rush. Thank me later. It is located on the 1st floor.
  • Stay and play. Similar to Fabyland, this is a soft play area where kids can be dropped off while their parents go around the mall. There are two stay and play locations in the mall; the first and second floor. I wrote about the stay and play a while back, you can check it out HERE.
  • Bounce X is an indoor playground for adrenaline hunters. It is an exciting integration of trampolines, parkour elements, and ninja courses. Toddlers and babies aren’t allowed in. It is located on the 1st floor.
  • Robocom VR is one of the perfect places to put on your superhero cape. The virtual reality game makes players protect the world from attacks. Located on the 1st floor.
  • Pharmacy. There are various pharmacies in Festival City Mall including Aster, and life Pharmacy. It is important to know where to purchase pain relievers and similar items. Located on the 2nd floor.
  • Novo cinema. Watch various International and the latest blockbuster movies with family and friends on the 2nd floor of festival city mall.
  • Food court. Visit the 2nd floor, adjacent to NOVO Cinema to satisfy your tummy after a long walk around the mall.
  • EZ Taxi. Do you feel your legs can’t carry you any longer, simply hop on one of the mall taxis for a faster way to reach your destination on that floor? It cost 10 dirhams per person to get to a specific place but a tour of the mall is 70 dirhams.

  • Hop-on-hop-off mini bus: Alternatively, you can take the tour bus which is 15 dirhams per person to go around for 8 minutes. Kids below 3 ride free. I’ll recommend this to those who might be tired but want to have a nice view of the mall for 8 minutes. Bear in mind that the bus moves extremely slowly so you want might want to use the mall taxi for a faster tour.

Other things to do in Festival City Mall include:

  1. Visiting the famous IKEA at Festival Mall
  2. Taking an abra ride to Al Jaddaf
  3. The amusing Turkish ice cream and a trick.
  4. Dine at Rain Forest Resturant.
  5. Crazy Car.

Timings: 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.

How to get there: The easiest way to get to Festival City Mall is by the Dubai Taxi; however, you can take the bus.
