For more than a year, I have been intentional about my skincare routine mainly because I want a healthy looking skin but to create a healthy lifestyle, bond with my sister (since she introduced me to it) and my mom, and take my mind away from the issues of life when I’m feeling overwhelmed. Indeed, It is therapeutic!
May I add that I am the lady that will add miniatures of my regular skincare products to my online cart because a staycation is always around the corner 🙂
Now, let me show you guys some of the travel-size skincare products I am in love with, and give my honest review and rating.
- Elemis Superfood: Berry Boost Mask, Facial Wash, Glow Priming Moisturiser.
Once you go ‘Elemis’, you cant go back! I was introduced to these fruity items last year, ever since, it’s been one of my favourites. However, if I may be so bold, I dont know how I feel about the moisturizer. It gives a tingling feeling immediately after I rub it and then gives me a weird bronze look. Although my sister mentioned, it looks weird on my skin because it might not be for my skin tone. To be fair, that was a ‘logical’ explanation. Overall, it gives my face a squeaky clean feel that everyone wishes for so. If I were to rate this product, I would give it a 7/10.
2. Neutrogena Bright Boost Gel Cream: I repurchased this item a few weeks ago because I couldn’t get over the effect on my skin, it corrects discolouration, prevents breakouts and so on, because it contains AHA. I guess you would also be interested to know how lightweight it is, which makes my skin look refreshed. I’ll give this product an 8/10.
3. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. I saw a positive review of this 5ml product on two people’s Instagram accounts. I emphasized the size because it is a pricey little thing :). Just as the name implies, it gives my skin a velvet feel. It contains hyaluronic acid, great for my combination skin type and gives my face a firm feel. Therefore it is an 8/10.
4. Loreal UV Defender: Sunscreen should be everyone’s bestie! I fell in love with this brand when I used the hyaluronic acid face wash, serum, and face cream. Personally, there is nothing so special about this particular sunscreen. I mean, it is almost like some other brands. It is a 6/10 for me.
5. Ted Baker Body Wash and Body Spray. This is a must-have! Not just because of the brand or the colour ( i love pink), but it has an easy-going smell, not too harsh or mild. I felt like the list won’t be complete without including these babies. It is definitely an 8.
