Hi, I am Vivian, a 35-year-old lady. I lived in a country where a pap smear test and HPV vaccination were taboo for unmarried ladies; unfortunately, I developed that mindset too.
Recently, I relocated to a country where the importance of caring for and improving women’s health is taken seriously.
In the first few months of relocating, I became a gym member and made some friends.
One of the things we discussed was our health as women. They encouraged me to go for a general check-up; one of the tests was a pap smear. Contrary to my beliefs, I decided to go for the test.
A week after the test, the doctor informed me of some cell abnormalities, which resulted in a biopsy; that was one of the most challenging times.
