A short story of a special baby gift I received two years ago.
Two weeks after giving birth to my son in 2019, my sister paid me a surprise visit. The last time I saw her before she came with her gifts was three years ago, so you can imagine how excited I was (luckily, I got to spend quality time with her in Nigeria recently). She brought lots of gifts for my son, including the ones my brother and her friend sent over, but one of the items was a well-thought-out gift; a blanket she knitted.
Words can’t express how much I really love and appreciate this lovely blanket because it must have taken her so much time and effort to get it done, and I love how the baby holds on to it. (She’s an ardent reader of the blog, by the way, so hi sis. ) My son is two years old, and that is his favourite blanky, so you can imagine how much love he has for her!

First, you need to let the parents know or have an idea of what you will be making (just so you won’t be offended if it isn’t used), and if you get the go-ahead, some items will be much appreciated if they are in a bigger size so the baby won’t outgrow them so soon.

This will be convenient to make if you have the time to; however, some items are more time consuming than others.
