Today’s post was supposed to have been published some months back, but I forgot to. I remembered I hadn’t published it when my friends and I talked about our pregnancy journey. Today, I’ll be sharing some symptoms I had that made me 97% sure I was pregnant before I went to the hospital to get the blood test done. (The home pregnancy test kit showed negative, but I knew something wasn’t right, so I had to go to the hospital. After the blood test I did in the hospital, I got the positive news).

These were the symptoms I had:
– Cramps. -Spotting.- Occasional nausea. – Food aversion. – Cold and flu. – Hot flushes. – Craving Indian food.- Weakness and tiredness. – Headaches. – Heightened sense of smell. – Vivid dreams.- Blue veins on palms.- Weight loss.- Mood swings. – Backaches. – Elevated basal body temperature.

The early signs I usually hear about that I didn’t experience immediately are:
– Metallic taste in the mouth.- Spitting.- Frequent peeing. – Vomiting.
I’m writing this because every pregnancy is unique; just because you don’t experience any symptoms or you experience all the symptoms doesn’t mean you are weird. Someone once said, ” she doesn’t feel she’s experienced the true meaning of pregnancy because there were no pregnancy symptoms”. I want you to know that whatever you feel makes your pregnancy unique.
Much love to those who are/hoping to be pregnant.
